If you make payments over time (0% interest) they now require you to select a carrier. This means you get charged an activation fee for activating tje new device. It also means you can’t use that option if your carrier is not Verizon, AT&T, or T-Mobile.
Apple always does this before a big launch. Most likely they are applying site updates, major patches, etc.

You should read AppleCare+ ToS before you make that claim. They will absolutely let you file a claim for accident damage (it is spelled out in the ToS).
I personally find the Apple One family plan to be an awesome deal. Music/Arcade/TV/Fitness/News. Out of all of these, news is pretty “meh”, though you do get access to popular magazines/newspapers. Everything else is great.
I am not an all Apple guy, since I am a PC gamer, but I use Apple products most of the time.

Also, unless things have changed, Apple pays artists more than Spotify.
