You are right, not the Konami code, it’s 9 lives + stage select. I tried it too, but after this the achievements are not counted after it for some reason.
RetroAchievements is a service with community-made achievements for retro games. Many emulators supports it. You can login and play as usual to earn them. There is also a hardcode mode when loading states and other emulator advantages are disabled, so you have to beat it as it was on the original hardware.
Yes, I know about the Konami code. I tried to enter it, but achievements for bosses and lives were not counted.
I thought that Somari was a hack for the Sonic port :) But yes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ffb-Bwbl4M8
By the way, did you know that there is an unofficial port of Sonic for NES? I played it when I was a kid.
I’ve heard about it, but never played it. I’ll try!
Thanks! It’s Vortex Tab 90.
Oh, yes! BTW, for the first game there is a series of achievements called “The Adventures of Chip ‘n’ Doll” where you need to carry 2 player with you without hurting him or losing a life. Never tried myself, but sounds fun.
I would say that it’s good for very experienced users. Software is immature, the experience is far from an Android phone. Also specs not quite good (because no one buy will buy an expensive GNU/Linux phone). But I think it’s the most powerful phone (if we talking about Pro version) that can run mainline kernel and have all hardware working. Also see !linuxphones@lemmy.ml
2.4 and BT aren’t the same thing, don’t trust ebay or aliecpress sellers over 8bitdo.
But on their boxes it’s explicitly saying BT. And in the linked video they show it working with BT with Nintendo Switch and Raspberry PI via BT dongle. So confusing :(
The n30 2.4g comes with the transmitter. And it’s a bog standard usb - not limited to the nes classic, so just grab one of those.
Are you sure? On the picture it looks different from the regular USB. And they explicitly mention only “NES Classic Edition”.
I afraid that it could flood the instance. Issue on GitHub: https://github.com/TeamPiped/lemmy-piped-link-bot/issues/10
I think I broke this bot :D
Too bad that login is required :(
Probably one of the best games for NES with co-op. Played with my firends when I was a child, so much fun.
Hm… but if I open mine without login I can’t see achievements: https://retroachievements.org/user/Shatur
Do I need to have more achievements? Never used achievements before.
Makes sense. But somehow it hurts to buy such a device when I don’t have cartridges :(
Analogue Pocket looks awesome. But I wish they have a version without cartridge support to make the device cost a bit less.
I wish we have more devices with a screen like this (not FPGA based).
