Yeah, that’s a good point. The text in the article is confusing. Probably because it’s just rushed clickbait.

I don’t understand how they could be taking such a big loss on those accounts. Federal reserve rates are above 5%…
Also, it’s hard to feel bad for the bank taking a billion dollar loss when they have like 1.5 trillion dollars in assets.
As in via a product? Code itself isn’t worth much. It’s the stuff we make with it that has value.
Maybe. It entirely depends on if you’ll be affected by the bugs that exist. I’ve personally only encountered one annoying bug. A Safari regression that blocks scrolling on video elements. Some of the new features are pretty cool.
If you’re interested in the online multiplayer you should know that it’s super glitchy. Like barely functional in my experience.
Valve is worth billions of dollars. TF2 almost certainly generates enough income to justify the resources needed to recompile the game. Again, I totally understand that it requires effort but it’s still dumb.
But they’ve done it before… Other Source engine games, like Counter Strike Global Offensive, have been recompiled to run on modern macs. I understand it takes some effort but it’s still dumb.
It’s bad on both sides. Apple broke userspace but Valve could almost certainly compile for modern Apple systems without too much effort.
It is mind boggling that Valve won’t bother recompiling Source games for Mac. I guess they figure it isn’t worth it?
Bro why did you have to mention lil Sebastian? I didn’t want to cry today. :(
I didn’t notice it either. Maybe they don’t know at this point.
An interesting effect of unifying Mac and iPhone tech is that games ported to Mac need little work to be ported to iPhone.
Getting actual AAA games on iPhone is kinda cool but still seems very impractical. Mostly because if you can afford an iPhone 15 pro you can afford a game console, Mac/PC, etc.
Uhh. Who needs raytraced video games on their iPhone? I really doubt many mobile games are going to support and leverage that capability. If they do you would hard pressed to notice it on a phone screen.
USB 3 support lmao. Such revolutionary tech.
The mini is up in mini heaven now
You might want the listener to hear you playing music or whatever. It’s useful to be able to control it.
How many users would actually notice a difference between a16 bionic and a17? I’m sure the cameras will be nicer but the base model cameras seem great too
Seems like the base model 15 has everything I want. Not sure how they’re going to sell the pro model this year.
USB-C was specifically designed to have a durable port AFAIK
I’ve never had any issues with it and I have used USB-C devices for years
It can’t be manually enabled? That seems like a major oversight…
