Man I wish I had the foresight. I distinctly remember the game store at my local mall had a bunch of virtual boys in a bargain bin.
I had a CRT for a while, I have a bunch of systmes i’ve been collecting since I was a kid. Atari 2600, NES, SNES, N64, GC, Wii, Xbox… but I got rid of the CRT because honeslty its way more of a pain to go to the basement, find the game i want and play. Sure its way more authentic but I can just grab my Retroid Pocket 2+ and play all those games and thousands more in seconds.
You could cut the chassis open and use thermal glue to attach a heatsink+fan combo directly to the main CPU on the chassis. Wouldn’t look pretty but would probably bring temps to a more manageable point
