I’m not any kind of expert but I seem to recall that turning air conditioners off and on with a switched outlet is a bad thing… something to do with how they start and stop the compressor.
Also, unless you have no choice, stick with the dual hose models, because the single hose ones end up pushing conditioned air out the window. Even if a single hose model has a theoretically higher efficiency, it won’t translate to the real world because it’s blowing cooled air out the window.
Hacking something to replace the unit’s power button is probably your best option
Typical completely useless article from medium.com
I don’t have a problem resuming schedule from HomeKit or using Siri. I just say “hey siri resume schedule” and it does it.
Wait… so thoughts and prayers actually work?
The actor has some serious back problems and that weird way of getting into a chair is one of the ways he avoids triggering a flare up
I have the AdGuard content blocker on my phone and NextDNS set for dns. I’m using a logged in NextDNS account with a bunch of block lists enabled.
I was using pihole on my local network but some ads still got through, mainly on the NYTimes site.
AdGuard on the iphone and nextdns.io for DNS is a very effective combo. I also use StopTheMadness to eliminate a lot of annoyances, especially google’s shitty amp links.
Between the egregious API pricing and the recent login requirement, this traffic graph makes perfect sense.
I agree that we need some measure of actual engaged human beings before we start dancing on twitter’s grave.
I have to say, as a GM, I want the players to start with a concept and work from that. BUT I absolutely do not want them to start with a character from books or anime or some batshit crazy idea and expect me to beat the mechanics all out of shape to accommodate them.
I saw a post on another site (which shall not be named) where the player wanted to play a monk with eyes on the palms of his hands instead of on his face. He claimed it was for flavor but he also said he wanted to just be able to close his fists and ignore any negative effects from seeing something, such as a gorgon or basilisk. While I admire the creativity, I don’t have any interest in screwing up the playability for other characters and for myself.
When I’m a player I start with a role, then layer on something odd/quirky, then look at how I can implement it within the rules.
Do you know what caused the condition? Usually there’s an expiration built into whatever applied it. If it’s a poison or a disease, then you’ll need to recover from it or get it cured. TL;DR: without knowing how it was applied, it’s hard to give you a really good answer. Without more information, @MadWorks is correct… use the restoration spell.
You should be able to to settings then focus then whichever focus you’re working on. Inside there you’ll see categories for people and apps. List any contacts and apps that you want notifications from during that focus. All others should be silenced
