  • I used it today for 8 hours and damm, I must say that it is quite good. Definitely better than the “keep playing song when playlist ends” or the curated weekly lists. I had to skip songs only few times and I didn’t mark ANY as “dislike”, where I often that to do so few times in a row on the other options.

Perhaps a change in how I use Apple Music made this better, cause I learned from some comment here or on Reddit, that the algorithm acts better if songs are marked as love/dislike to tell it the taste, not like in Spotify where it just goes along the lists or what I listened to in the past.

  • I saw you said in another comment that you recently already bought an ergo keyboard, but when you go to replace it check out some of the split ergos with integrated trackpads/trackballs that are starting to get more popular. I’m eventually going to switch over to a wireless split with a trackpad on both halves which seems like the best option.

for sure in future I will consider that. not having to take hands off the keyboard is a great idea and I sure will want to try it once my current devices will start to rot.

  • That is a very good opinion on the Arc, thanks for sharing.

I personally love the Little Arc the most. The idea behind it was great, being able to open link in a separate simplified window is great.

Other than that I don’t really know what I liked the most. The idea behind tabs is good too, but similar thing can be achieved with pinned tabs on Safari (obviously not that fast). The profiles idea is good as well, but I’m missing being able to associate them with current Focus status and I bet that the new Profiles coming to Safari will have that.

  • Have you ever encountered some problems with tab groups? Like, I have a small inconvenience with them when I’m on a different Desktop and I open New Window from the dock, it automatically switches me to the window that is open on different desktop.

Other than that I do like them too, I like that I can assign specific group to specific focus status. I am really looking forward to the Profiles that will be in next release.

  • This is a decent advice, to take this part of my career easy, focus on what’s more important (the kids), and wait for when they will be able to spend more time together, leaving more for me. Soo, like 3 years from now at least.

Well, given how exhausting fatherhood can be and the stability of my current job, I might just continue learning passively through articles or books. Additionally, I could incorporate the advice from this post and spend some time during work hours researching topics that I’ll need for my project. This approach would allow me to snipe two birds with one stone.

    Thanks for the advice here.
