I use Arch btw
I was actually planning on building a smart mailbox but then I found out USPS had a thing called Informed Delivery so they will take pictures if I have any incoming mail and have pictures of them before they are delivered.
Yeah this is what I used when I had iphone
Edit: I still use the same method on my pixel as well
They’ve sent me parts free of charge 2 times already and their customer support is excellent if you ever need it. Their discord community is also very active and helpful should you need it.
Fuck creality. They have issues all the time, no customer support, no auto bed leveling out of the box, the firmware out of the box isn’t even good. I would go for Elegoo Neptune printers. They work perfectly out of the box, have amazing support, good firmware, auto bed leveling, and prints faster than the enders.
How do you even level an Ender? I have an elegoo neptune printer so the leveling is different. I was trying to print with an Ender and couldn’t find a good guide. All of them told me to twist the screw things at the bottom but the gap is way too large for it to be fixed that way.
How quickly was it caught?
Oh ok yeah I guess Apple devs then. Nobody else would need that it’s not that common.
I don’t understand why you would want a hackintosh or a mackintosh for that matter. There’s linux and openbsd. Sooo what’s the advantage? Apple looking ui? Not being able to split screen without paying?
I actually use Blender to 3d design. I guess it’s easier for me? Maybe I’ll give the other ones a shot.
Elegoo has some preowned printers. For under $100 you could get a printer a few generations older. If you’re doing models, like others have said, it’s probably not what you would need. If you want the practicality of printing out prototypes or cool objects then this is more of what it’s for.
Damn I might start listening to the entire youtube channel. Should I?
This sub has a wiki guiding you where to start. I followed it and decided to go with TNG first.
This sub made me start on Star Trek TNG. I’m finishing the show up this week. I don’t regret a single thing. Thank you Lemmy!
I forgot where I saw the watchlist of star trek. It might’ve been in this sub or on the reddit but TNG was recommended if I wanted something fairly relevant and modern. I never realized how old Star Trek was and it’s wonderful to have communities like this to guide people how to get started. Keep up the good engagement everybody!
Edit: Yes, the guide to watch star trek is conveniently on Lemmy https://startrek.website/post/191295
So much content that you guys have convinced me to start watching star trek. I’m 6 seasons into TNG now.
I also use Inland, haven’t had any issues with the filament. All the problems are my printer settings.
Blender works fine idk why everybody here saying there aren’t good alternatives
I’m starting out with 0% first. However, I wonder if it will break my hardware as a device melting plastic at 245 C should have some cooling system or it will burn up right?
Could be it. I just tried printing again and it wouldn’t stick to the bed. I’ll try rinsing my bed.
If I do get mail from Ebay or something or whatever I order, chances are, they’ll ask for my email and that information will be sent to me anyways. So having the usps informed delivery will cover all my bases.
