Give the disclaimers and reviews those have a ton of limitations. The official dongle has a lot more going on. It’s extremely niche to need it in the first place.
Do you mean an Anker or Amazon Basics version or an Apple. Session but sold by someone else? If the latter, it’s counterfeit if you’re getting it at a huge discount.
I think you’re right. It’s capable of outing video but doesn’t have enough pins to be usb 3.
That Lightning end is huge. There has to be something going on there that makes this cost this much. This has to be be niche though. Only with equipment or accessories where you can’t replace the cable.
There’s probably some expensive equipment that did it, but I haven’t seen any consumer grade stuff. Most things are wireless.
