Yeah I have Dutch and American cards on my 13 Pro’s Apple Pay. Wasn’t an issue at all.

Absurd thing for Apple to try to argue in court, I hope they get laughed out.
On the other hand, the new Pros apparently output 4k via USBC now and they support multiple wireless controllers. So with the new game titles coming to iOS, I wonder how well one of them would chug out a AAA game at 4k to a TV. IIRC the hardware is already better than the Switch.
In either case, it’s a phone and that’s how it should be legally classified. Also that exemption for consoles is ridiculous. Obvious lobbying at play there.
Spiegen cases are hard to beat on price and quality IMO. My current case is their Mag Armor for my 13 Pro and I like it a lot.
Apple’d never do it but that dock thing would be so cool if you could just plug into any USB monitor and have a legit MacOS computer running on your phone.
That’s my take too, I don’t buy their excuse. They did this in the past on I think the 11 series. The Pro Max had IIRC a better wide angle camera or some such and they withheld it from the regular Pro until the following year.
Annoying but it makes it easier for me to wait out an upgrade when I really don’t need one anyway.
Yeah between the rumors on a price hike and also the regular pro not getting the periscope zoom like the pro max I’m sitting this one out. Excited for usb c and all but I think I can hold out another year or two.
Don’t really think there’ll be much this time around for me to get personally hype about, but it’s always fun seeing what they roll out.
I only had to read about the first 2 words. Too perfect.
Just terrible
You keep kinda repeating yourself here. I used to work doing photo and video, I understand what you’re trying to explain.
I’d rather have 6x true optical zoom on a 48mp image, not binned 12 mp images.
If you don’t care that’s fine, buy the phone or whatever. I’m not trying to talk you or anybody out of it. I’ll pass if they’re restricting the feature from the non max size this time. That’s all.
I don’t really buy that because I know people with other BT headsets that don’t have this same problem. When I have phone or video calls using my Pros everyone complains that I sound quiet and far away and they can barely hear me. It’s not even a matter of quality, they can barely even hear me. Better yet, I even have some people complain sometimes that fairly mild background noise is louder than my voice.
The mics just suck.
I’m talking about optical zoom. I don’t care about how much they can crop in on a 48mp images. That’s not true zoom and you’re losing resolution doing it.
All the rumors are saying only the Pro Max is getting 6x optical zoom and that’s what I’m concerned with here.
If they’re truly withholding the 6x optical zoom periscope lens for only the Pro Max, this is def a generation I’ll be skipping. Those phones are unfortunately just too big.
Hopefully it’ll hit the regular Pro next time or something. If so I feel like the 16 Pro will be the phone to buy with the improved camera and USB C on deck.
Yeah latest MacRumors rumor article says a USB C model is coming, but not til 2025.

Maybe they can fix the fucking microphones on the pros. The 2nd gens are maybe worse than the 1st gens which already sucked. I get so many complaints and recently just broke down and bought a pair of wired headphones just for video calls. Great headphones, but just laughably bad for calls.
The worst part about it is video creators largely do that stuff because it works, which is a damn sad commentary on the average YT viewer. I just wish society could do better.
He does decent reviews with high production value is kind of the main thing.
But I think the thing for me that sets him more apart is that he doesn’t do all the zany bullshit a lot of the other top review youtubers do. He’s really even keel and feels more conversational while most of the other reviews I see out there either have people acting really dramatic and over emoting frequently and giving me the sense they’re carefully reciting a script they wrote. And also there’s a lot of the doing stupid fucking faces in their little video thumbnails and stuff that drives me crazy about a lot of tech reviewers.
I cannot overstate how much that turns me off, I don’t care if they’ve determined that’s what gets clicks or whatever. It feels like a content race to the bottom and I don’t like feeding into it.
Beyond that, he’s very Apple focused and has a firm grasp of context on Apple and isn’t trying to measure their devices by the ruler of “WILL THIS PLAY AAA GAMES AT CRAZY FRAMERATES?!?” That’s not why I use their stuff and I think reviews by people who are so laser focused on that topic often miss the point of why Apple hardware is popular with certain creative professionals.
Disney stock is down ~56% from its high in March 2021 and its last three consecutive quarters have seen a drop in Disney+ subscribers. Disney is even trading lower right now than before its huge run during the pandemic.
And I’d love to hear the scenario where it gets those gains back in a reasonable amount of time outside of the context of yet another pandemic. Seems like a terrible investment to me.
But like you said, we’ll just have to agree to disagree.
Lol that’s worse than Adobe pricing
