7·2 years agoYou also missed the time Boimler died saving his ensigns and when he was revived, Ransom said something to the effect that a person doesn’t forget their first death implying he also died at one point.
Edit: I think the Enterprise Kovich served on was the J.

4·2 years agoIIRC, the arm swing he does is because of how he has to walk in his foot prosthetics. But you are right it’s a subtle addition that sells the character
Interesting and cool if true. Thanks!
Could you please expand on what you mean by shoehorning in the Guinan scene? How would you handle it if you were the episode writer?
Edit: to be clear, I know what shoehorning is, I just want to know why you think it occured here.

7·2 years agoI didn’t know what an oubliette was, so I looked it up.
It’s a type of dungeon where the only entrance is a trap door in the ceiling of the oubliette. They are shaped like a bottle, narrow and vertical. The word comes from the French word “oublier” meaning"to forget"

6·2 years agoI agree. We know that there are non-bipedal sapients (eg Tinman, Tholians, some Xindi, Belugas, etc) so there must be some species not made in the image of the Progenitors.

9·2 years agoThat is definitely a top contender!
Not necessarily dark, but I think the most tragic is “The Sound of Her Voice” where they try to rescue the standard captain on an unbreathable atmosphere planet…

Jason figured it out?! Jason? Wow, this is a new low…
I mean, she slept with Worf, which is the one thing she’s not supposed to do.
And like I said, there may be a difference in personalities between symbionts in how dominant they are. Plus Dax had lived through 8 pairings and knew Ezri wasn’t trained. It could regulate.
This is probably why Trill have to undergo years of training before joining, to keep their personalities more merged in.
It could also be that Dax prefers to be more passive in its relationship with its host compared to Odan. This makes sense because if the point of Joining is to gain new experiences, overpowering the host won’t let the symbiote learn.
