Apple is full of shit. I freaking doubt it’ll take them a year.
During a question-and-answer session, a journalist raised the issue of the iPhone’s incompatibility with rich communication services (RCS) messaging, preventing the seamless sharing of video clips with their Android-using mom. It’s been a longstanding issue between Apple and Android devices. Cook acknowledged that it isn’t a top priority for the company. If the reporter wanted to fix the issue, Cook joked, “buy your mom an iPhone.”
Pardon me if we don’t give you the benefit of the doubt.
I remember the joke before that being:
“this statue’s only got one eye”
“lazy sculptor”
then when the “no eyes” bit came up … I was cracking up.
It’s one of my favorites (when I saw it two decades ago) but I guess I get the references. I just thought Fry pretending not to know what a video game was and the internet being full of ads and sex still relevant? Bender also stealing everything was a delight.
The remake, I started it months back but want to get back into it.
Gonna try to get the kids to play Minecraft Dungeons without fighting this time.
I’d love to get time with Links Awakening though.
Yup, exact tip I was gonna write!
I have them commented out and highlight the COMMIT when I’m ready.
I’m sure you’ve heard of this phenomenon but I’ll mention it anyways:
It’s fairly ingrained in the programming world now. A lot of common problems are known and solved. A lot of devs can code in Java with little uptake. Java runs everywhere. The tools are pretty good.
Desktop apps and servers run it. So like, processing things and all that run well with it.
As mentioned before, Android uses it too. So there’s a lot going on.
I remember playing Doom for the first time and I remember thinking that graphics would never get any better than that. Like the arm even moves when he walks!
How horribly naïve I was.
Yeah, as the other commenter said, he’s not that special and that’s kinda why he’s special?
To me, he’s got this type of quality of a guy you’d hang out with after work or so. He’s more sociable than quite a few YouTubers but he’s not like Lew or Linus to me. He’s a few notches more on the mellow side.
In terms of his insights in tech, he focuses a lot on cameras which I think people care about but I don’t. However, I think his production values are top notch. His videos are chill and I like the Waveform podcast he does and some interviews like Hot Ones that he’s done.
I’m glad they mentioned rectangle, I found that app amazing. I have however upgraded to Amethyst for my app tiling though.
I’m a dev, so if I’m not doing .NET development. I found windows quite limiting. The new terminal stuff is nice but it’s native on a mac. I’m not sure about Docker because that really spins the fans on my 16 Intel Pro.
Also, things like Spaces and virtual desktops have been pretty sweet for a long time now. Windows, I can’t recall but it’s been a horribly broken PowerToy for so long. I can’t believe people were to recommending it. I think some people were telling me it’s native now, but like, it’s crazy how it wasn’t done properly years ago.
Phind.com is pretty good for programming stuff, it’s AI but it cites it’s sources.
