Ensign Ro and old Jake are both in Half-Life 2, those voices are ingrained in my memory so I instantly recognized them when i watched the show.
Dukat really had a mental breakdown and then came back suddenly to tell kira that he fucked her mom
The single line “I fell asleep reading a particularly erotic chapter in my grandmother’s journal” is worthy of it honestly. I don’t think any other sequence of 12 words can evoke anything close to the emotional rollercoaster I felt when that sentence was spoken.
Oh nice, I didn’t know. I should probably check it out at some point.
I haven’t been too into the new shows but it feels like a lot of humor focused stuff. I like lower decks, but I’ve heard snw is also pretty light and now this… I know Picard exists but with that over I feel like something else needs to balance it out.
The original series or next generation depending on your taste. Although be warned that TNG’s first season is rough, so if you’re not committed to watching everything, maybe pick a few episodes to try first.
Personally I watched through the entirety of TNG and then moved on to DS9, and I really enjoyed both shows. DS9 is also a direct follow up to TNG in a few ways so they make a good pair. I wouldn’t recommend watching DS9 first though since it’s so different from “normal” star trek.
A show with multiple gay kisses, a black captain, multiple episodes addressing racism, and a female character who used to be a man? When did star trek get so woke? (/s)
My personal favorite is the tardis page on sex
Kira please stop asking me to turn into anime characters
Fair can mean pale-skinned and maiden can mean virgin.
It’s always funny looking back at stuff like this. I remember looking at old articles about Catherine Tate becoming a companion in doctor who and people were furious - and in retrospect not only was she one of the best companions, but that was probably the greatest era of the show.
Or Lwaxana.
(Except for that one episode.)
Picard didn’t have to deal with a war. Or at least, deal with the consequences of one.
I love how Jeffery Combs alone is second place for number of connections.
“Waltz” from DS9 would work really well I think. If you cut out the b plot of trying to find sisko, you only need 5 actors, and it takes place in one cave. You could probably get away with one set, maybe two or three props, and no practical effects.
But like, they can still track you. And removing the badge that lets them track you is basically a crime. Also section 31 exists basically just to track and monitor people.
