Isn’t that also part of the ST lore? Or did I mix up The Orville and Star Trek canon… :/
You don’t technically need their flasher. Any flasher should do. Epilogue added support to theirs for those.
Battlestar Galactica’s miniseries (episode 1) is just so mind fucking blowing crazy good that just by itself it excuses the lower ratings episodes later on. And there are some, it’s not all 8+. But when it hits, oh boy does it hit.
I’m not sure how it would be on a rewatch, since I watched it from season 1 as it was coming on air, and half the fun was basically spending hours on forums discussing theories about the show between episodes.
Honestly as long as I can share full resolution photos with my friends I don’t care what color their bubbles are.
Star Wars is samurai movies with a skin on it. The whole thing is borrowed, in space. So it’s okay to have stories like Andor, Rogue One and Mando, etc because they mesh well with the general design of the universe.
Lower Decks is as far as Star Trek as it can be, and yet it fits very well in the universe. Because it respects itself and respect the source material.
JJ never respected the source material and the universe.
They were very typical “J.J. Abram’s has no idea what a franchise is actually about”. He actually admitted not having seen any extra materials about the franchise before making the movies, and rehashed existing storylines because it’s safe.
JJ Abrams is loved by the studios for the very same reasons he’s dreaded by the fans.
Memes are a good example of a snapshot in time that doesn’t make sense 10, 20 years after.
People will look at a dancing baby and wonder why we thought it was worth sharing.

Technically you can have transparent nameless shortcuts that do nothing and add them to make gaps. There’s a blog somewhere with hacks like that.
If you like customizations you should look into shortcuts.
There have been a couple generations that had worse battery life than the one before. It wouldn’t be unheard of.
Moreso even. They just come to your community to display their hatred, as if there’s nothing better to do.
How many Apple enthusiasts go to Linux communities and laugh at their OS unprompted?
That’s why I love Lost In Space and thought VOY would be more like it. It… wasn’t.
For people who don’t know, a “lane” in this case is a literal wire on the cable. You can have multiple lanes that have separate protocols, e.g. a lane for audio, a lane for DP, a lane for USB 3.
IIRC there are always lanes for USB 2, and USB 3 speeds are achieved on separate lanes. Thats why all USB-C cables and devices must support USB 2.0.
There’s literally a trope for how bad TNG was in the first seasons… until Riker grew a beard.
The way god indented.
I’m ready for the downvotes but I still don’t understand the general hate for the Magic Mouse. Once every two weeks I let it charge for 30 minutes while I’m having a lunch break and never have to worry about it.
How many times do you happen to need to charge your mouse and use it at the same time?
I think you can implement Into<i32> for Result<…, LibError>. You can also implement the branching trait of Result so ? works. I’ve done it for booleans in the past as a learning experiment.
Unfortunately on mobile so I can’t link or copy paste code but that should give you some pointers to the right doc.
Apple and Microsoft are doing a pretty good job at translating x86 to ARM. It’s not perfect but I haven’t really faced any application that just failed to run (to be fair I use pretty popular applications so maybe there’s a bias there).
There’s a survival bias too. People rarely will hear about or play the bad stuff from that era, but we keep hearing about the bad stuff happening now because of marketing. People then get nostalgic of a time that didn’t really exist. For every Mario Bros there’s a dozen Bad Street Brawler that no one plays today.
As someone who grew up in the 80s there were a lot of garbage from then too, it just didn’t survive the test of time.
