Hi!
Let’s be nice to each other.
Nah, I’m just taking the piss. I even played games on the really old, really FLOPPY 5.5" disks. Wheel of fortune… good times, good times.
Some lesser quality Futurama is still better than no Futurama
Wow, a floppy disk! It’s just like that save icon, hahahaha
I guess we should take a step back, then to determine whether this as a person existed. If the person as an individual didn’t, then perhaps it was a group of buddies named Kim, Nyguen, and Singh. Probably a stretch, though.
I’m just wondering if there are no photographs or any other of Roddenberry’s war buddies can corroborated this guy’s existence. Should he also not have shared wartime stories with his children and wife? AFAIK, they haven’t shared any information but it’s also possible that no one had asked them.
This episode was striking in that it showed the crew of the Enterprise being the best of the best Starfleet officers. Pike going to literally the brink of death to find his #1 the best lawyer in the galaxy, Uhura telling La’an off for making an illegal request, La’an trying to poke holes into weak chinks in security, and Una stepping up to lay it all out on the table so her friends won’t have to keep her secret and be in danger for doing so. Amazing. No wonder they’re posted on the flagship.
Oh yeah, an actual lawyer and one who was not assigned by Starfleet. Una was also spot on with her complaint that her original counsel was paid by those prosecuting her. 👏
Ok, at the risk of sounding like a filthy casual, it’s only now when I’m digging into Memory Alpha that I realized we’re finally getting visualization of what Pike was so miserable about in TOS the Cage. I was like, why does Rigel VII sound so familiar…
This is the kind of retcon I live for!!
