Holy guacamole, get rotated, idiots. Nevermind, LLMs are great, keep putting them all over the place. On an unrelated note, is there a repository or community for prompt dumps? This has got to be the most entertaining one I’ve seen so far.

I’m addressing the tweeter here, not OP.
I hope the rich fucks you’re simping for let you into the Apocalypse bunker when the time comes, buddy. I mean, it’s a slim chance, most likely you’re going to have to deal with being a refugee and explaining to your starving kids why you helped this happen, but hey, there’s still the odd chance you could win getting to live out the rest of your days in a fancy hole in the ground.
Janeway when anyone else fucks with time: Ah, shit, here we go again
Janeway when Janeway fucks with time: Temporal Prime Directive? Never met her, but she sounds hideous.
Toss up between EMH and T’Ana, really, but I’d say T’Ana has more lovable burnout energy that the crew vibe with, where the EMH is just kind of a dick. I love him, he’s one of my favorite characters in all of Trek, but his bedside manner makes him a huge pain in the ass for anyone normal to work with. The people who got along best with him are Seven, who basically had high-functioning autism implants from the Borg, and Kes, who was, by and large, incapable of being mad. Janeway dealt with him fine because she just never took any shit from him as a matter of policy, and the only other person he vibed hard with was a fucking serial killer. Tom Paris, who stands out for being by far the biggest normie on Voyager, couldn’t stand the EMH (though he also hated sick bay).
So, gotta go with EMH having the worst bedside manner.
Have to agree, Picard’s ship lighting is completely ridiculous. Living and working on ships with that kind of lighting would drive me batty.
Just watched that episode. I love how they’re just as sick of Janeway as Janeway is of them.
VS Code. It’s dead easy to use, has a ton of useful plugins, and it’s customizable while also being enjoyable to use right out of the box.
For AI assisted coding, I use Cody or GPT-4 data analysis on my personal projects. I tried copilot and found that it actually made my productivity worse. Often as not, I found myself stopping and second guessing whether I was stupid or if it was copilot, and it was usually copilot. GPT-4 is really great for problem solving a specific problem or getting some feedback on some bad smelling code, and Cody works great for helping to write my code faster.
I have to agree, Strange New Worlds is, hands down, the best Trek this side of TNG. I couldn’t get into Discovery because it’s too E D G Y. Like, it feels like the showrunners discovered emo a generation too late, and the whole show should basically be a linewire music video set to Three Days Grace or Linkin Park. It’s fucking insufferable, I just can’t reconcile that with Star Trek.
Lower Decks and Prodigy are both great, but don’t feel like real entries into the Trek universe and therefore are just kinda time sinks to keep you from being alone with your thoughts and reflecting on the void.
Picard was also sort of in the same boat as Discovery in terms of Edge while also trying to be a murder mystery and also a 'Member Berries special.
Been there. Senior dev told me not to write comments, but write self-documenting code instead.
