This is a very good point. The only possible retcon I could come up with for this is if starfleet had a required core curriculum course in ancient technologies that Scotty hated but also got an A+ in because he’s Scotty.

1·1 year agoI think we might be on the brink. I just saw an article about someone getting in a shootout with the sheriff trying to evict him. It’ll start with individual acts like that and snowball.
Apple has done the math and it’s cheaper to deny deny deny than to do the right thing. And that’s factoring in the inevitable class action lawsuit payouts.
Can’t copyright AI art so Stability (and anyone else) can do whatever the fuck they want with it. Anything Midjourney or anyone else lets out the door is free game for anyone. Perfect open source world:
