Wtf, is that actually a thing now?

Hangon, shinobi and rampage were what I played the most.
I’m going to go against what others are saying and advise against the raspberry pi. If you are serious about ps2, ps3 and gamecube, the pi will struggle with more games than it runs well. Especially for ps3, you’ll want at least a 4c/8t CPU, preferably no more than 5 years old, anything less will struggle.
5h gen consoles are basically the 3d equivalent of the Atari.
The 5th gen consoles are a great time capsule of everything developers didn’t understand about 3d gaming. If you don’t have a strong sense of nostalgia for them, most of the games aren’t worth bothering with and even the ones that still hold up were mostly dead ne better on the 6th gen consoles.
The fact that most of the great 2d games were intentionally withheld from the North American market is a real shame since the ps1 and Saturn were amazing at 2d.
I’d still take the snes but DC is my second choice since I’m a big fan of fighting games
Game came out 5 years ago this month, this is definitely a case of expired licenses for some of the music.

The timing on those jumps is tight enough that it is substantially harder with the 2-3 frames of input latency that many modern controllers and displays add.
Actual 80s kids grinded this level until they could make it through without taking much damage. When you only owned a half dozen games you got pretty good at all of them.
And late 2025 by the time your unit ships.
People are so addicted to the arbitrary “you did it!” mcguffins that they’ve started adding them to games that never had them. Now NES games aren’t done when the credits role because you failed to make it through stage 3 without taking damage or some other bull shit.
The keys file to make the games work as well as the roms themselves are though unless you are dumping everything from your personal collection. In which case, you’d need a modded switch.
I played this one at launch on the NES and it’s been one of my favourites ever since. Definitely not the best in the franchise but holds a special place in my heart.
Has no one mentioned Vice Project Doom yet? Side scrolling action game that makes me think of Ninja Gaiden with guns mixed with Operation Wolf style shooting sections and Spy Hunter like driving sections. One of the best games on the NES.
My bad, I misinterpreted op use of the word launch to mean opening the app.
