I enjoyed the side content,
only some of the collectables e.g. the Vista Points where a bit dull
(however luckily Aloy helps out with them).
HFW is bigger then HZD,
which I don’t mind at all,
actually a bit sad that I’m about to complete it :P
Full stack developer and privacy advocate. I like to keep the mentality, if you can program one language well, then you can program in any language!

Horizon Forbidden West,
currently going through the Burning Shores DLC.
Truly love the game as much as I loved Zero Dawn,
only 2 remarks are:
Other then those 2 remarks,
I love everything about the game / lore / graphics :)
TLDR: But-hurt C++ dev has a hard time accepting that his favorite language is not memory safe.
Any way you see fit does not have to mean downloaded from official services.
I won’t post links here,
but there are other means of getting the content you rightfully own.
It’s not stealing if you already own a copy.
If you buy a copy of something,
then no one should be allowed to steal your copy away from you.
As long as you have the receipt to show that you own a copy of the game,
you should be allowed to play it any way you see fit.
Never said it was easy,
although this guide claims it is:
https://rentry.org/SwitchHackingIsEasy
Also, if you paid for Games/DLC,
then you’re in your right to re-claim those games any way you see fit if Nintendo dares to take them away from you.
Joycons suck, badly.
Apart from the drift and poor battery life,
they feel bad in your hands.
Here’s what I did/do:
The DS4 controllers play much better,
and have been surviving for much longer as well.
Damn Citra as well?!..
Nintendo is being relentless…
Luckily the FOSS community is acting like a hydra,
for each head they cut off, 2 new ones will grow back.
Seems like ourfavoritefruits
on Github did a good job of forking / preserving Citra:
Sadly there doesn’t appear to be an official Azure DevOps Pipeline for the yuzu-android
repo,
so be cautious with following forks!
After searching Github for yuzu-android
, and then sorting on “Recently Updated”:
https://github.com/search?q=yuzu-android&type=repositories&s=updated
I’d guess one of the following will be the latest yuzu-android
code bases:
MVP!
Fork the hell out of it guys,
preserve the code and let things cool off.
Then we eventually could see an active fork popping up.
Nintendo,
reinventing themselves as a law-suite company
which also publishes games on the side…
Gitea is not really recommended anymore these days, due to being taken over by a for-profit comany + introducing a paid tier.
Nowadays Forgejo is the project to look at.
Well, the post was about copilot,
so that’s what my comment was about.
But I agree, fck all big-tech software.
If it’s not produced by a non-profit as open source, then it’s not worth your time.
(Due to anti-consumer practices, spy-ware/telemetry or vunerabilities to worry about)
Not on my machine. Or at least, I do everything humanly possible to limit it.
Either through:
I don’t expect everyone to become a privacy expert though.
However I do believe systematic privacy is important, and that we should aim for better privacy laws to keep the intellectual property of the average user safe.
Now they can also train their gray area trained model (trained upon our Github projects without consolidating with us if it was alright to do so) further!
By spying on every command you type in your CLI, and phoning home to MS about it, to train it further.
I guarantee you,
If you use it, you’ll be their free training monkey.
And once they used you for free,
and the product improved enough,
they’ll subscription charge you forever to make use of it.
Correct, ChatGPT is proprietary spyware.
If the interface would support self hosted (local/offline) LLMs, then I’m sure people would be much more interested.
