And to think the physical bits on that floppy still would’ve been invisible to the naked human eye.

I was gobsmacked last week to see my colleague open a brand new Amazon Dot thing ($20AUD smart speaker) and see it with a barrel jack. Really?
It just seems to me that Martin is arguing on technicalities. Ultimately for the end user, regardless of the why behind parts not working when swapped, the parts are not replaceable, and Apple does not make the required tools available (such as calibration software) so that third party repair can be done properly. It’s still anti repair for the end user.
Right, because swapping cameras, displays, or batteries on a Pixel or Samsung permanently remove functionality with no calibration software made available.
I use one daily, an Apple Watch SE 1st gen. You need an iPhone to use the Apple Watch as far as I’m aware. I daily drive a Pixel 4a but I still keep an old iPhone SE 1st gen purely for this watch…
There might be Android apps that can interface with the Apple Watch but it certainly wouldn’t be the full experience
I’m in Queensland, Australia, and it seems to say there’s no chance of rain at all, as there’s thick clouds above my head seconds from drenching me, and sure enough, I start getting drenched.
Thanks. On the manufacturer’s website there’s no drivers available but it does outright mention it is compatible with Macbooks (doesn’t go into any further detail). I’ve already submitted a question to the product page and am awaiting an answer from them, hopefully they might give me something like a driver for macOS.
It was that very reason that I didn’t take regular backups of my iPhone 7+ at the time, and then the bastard thing just died completely, losing very precious photos and videos. Never an iPhone again after that. I love being able to just plug a USB flashdrive into my Pixel to easily transfer photos over to a more reliable medium, although in more recent times I now have a server for this.
