Nice! It looks like this did get triple posted though
‘…to build that optimistic future that is Roddenberry’s essential vision?’ That is very much going to be at the heart of Starfleet Academy.
I certainly hope so. Star Trek should be optimistic. The Federation is a utopia. We don’t need grungy pessimism. Every other sci-fi is already doing that.
Garak would never say “gonna,” but otherwise I love this lol
Kira struggles with the ethics of terrorism, her connections to her past, and the future of her people. Nog visits all the members of the senior staff, trying to get them to do his homework for him.
Ooh, Q is getting really good at hiding. This is way better than when he put Voyager on a Christmas tree. Q will never find him now
You’re right, I probably should go rewatch that episode where the crew triggers a Cardasians trap, and the station captures them, and Dukat comes to gloat.
I hope this is his swan song. Patrick Stewart is amazing, and I love Captain Picard, but he’s not Harrison Ford. The franchise will be fine without him. We don’t need to play out Too Short a Season in real life
I’m pretty sure he mentions not wanting to risk it in one of the episodes
They can’t speak English though. In fact the scene this screenshot is from is them trapped in the past unable to communicate because their universal translators are offline. I would assume Quark speaks Federation Standard, but apparently that’s not close enough to English to figure out what they’re saying in the 40s
Just Shran? That’s like saying a guy is cool because he has just a speedboat
I think one of the classic blunders is just attempting to use a tractor beam. You just know they’re going to send a feedback pulse
It was Pon Farr Night at the Vulcan Night Club on the holographic facsimile of Star Fleet Academy that Species 8472 was using to practice being Federation citizens. I think it makes sense that, if they’re planning to impersonate any Vulcans for any length of time, they’d want to get their agents practice at simulating Pon Farr. Especially if they’re going to simulate it accurately, so the agents will actually have to experience the urges.
What a terrible day to have sensory organs
Sometimes it’s Neelix as a Ferengi
My little office tree is Star Trek too!
I didn’t want to point the finger without anything to go on, but my assumption was that it was what Paramount wanted, and not the people actually involved with the show lol
Yeah, I saw this yesterday, looked up the game, and immediately decided I’d already gotten all the joy out of it that I ever could have. For such a well written and thoughtful series, I can’t believe the game they decided to do was a cookie clicker scam
