Well, the device tracks everything.

Because ARM is not the same as ARM. Windows arm does not natively run on an Apple M1 Processor and MacOS does not run on a raspberry pi.
In an enclosed chamber, I warm it up to ~37°C to allow yeast dough to rise. Works like a charm.
Not really… I have tried it before on an m1 iPad. It is not usable for any windows version. XP for example takes over 15 minutes just to boot. It takes multiple seconds for clicks to register, etc.
Linux, like Debian for example, will be much more usable, but still far from anything you would call a smooth experience.
Again, not having JIT really kills the performance here.
Nice project, I love that you analyzed the audio as well! But really? A barrel jack for charging? Make it USB-C!
Nice! The current one being „hidden“ in the settings app is a bit annoying to reach
$20 is 2/3 of your expenses?

The extrusions are not the expensive parts… in fact, JLCPCB has them for ~$20.
Good point, I didn’t notice.
There is Dozer but it is pretty basic.
Which hotend do you use to push >100 mm^3/s?
Lets be real here, a bambulab x1c which is currently considered high speed for >95% of users (which you are asking for here), has a maximum flow rate of 22 mm^3/s which limits it to about 250mm/s for 0.2mm layer height.
An average speed of 300mm per second on every axis? Including acceleration and cornering? How fast are you printing? 1000mm/s?
You might be a factor of 10 off here…
Don’t take offense in random comments. There are trolls everywhere.
I thought your comment was well thought out and contributed to the discussion.
The pro has an M1 chip, while the Air is M2. Which might not matter because the M1 is plenty fast for a tablet.
The pro has lidar, the air does not The pro has better speakers and better microphones The air has the FaceTime camera on the long side, where it belongs They support different pencils (the air supports the new pro pencil and all its features) The air is lighter The pro has 120Hz The pro has an additional wide angle lens, while the main camera of the air is probably a bit better now due to processing. But in the end, who takes pictures with a tablet. The air has better WiFi and Bluetooth. The pro has thunderbolt and everything, while the air only has normal usb-c.
Pick what is important to you. Keep in mind that the battery of a 2 year old device might not be in perfect condition.
Personally, i think the differences are negligible. I would go with the cheaper option
Really? It works over WiFi? Well then I take back my previous comment. I thought it works only when plugged in to the pc.
Everything but automatic. And non automatic backups might as well not exist.
To be honest, it is not so easy to do backups of iOS devices without the cloud
Just one EU legislation
While I don’t take any stance here, just know that the up- or downvoting should not be an „agree“ or „disagree“ button. An upvote should indicate that a comment is bringing value to the discussion or the topic, even if it does not align with one’s view.
Sorry about that, I didn’t see that.
