Sega worked with Microsoft a bit on the Dreamcast and tried to get Microsoft to offer backwards compatibility for the Dreamcast on the Xbox. It kind of makes you wonder if Microsoft copied Sega’s controller.

Old Sega consoles like that probably need their electrolytic capacitors replaced. I’d say like 80% of non-working Sega consoles I’ve had just needed the caps replaced.
The model doesn’t really matter. The Japanese ones tend to be a bit easier to get for a good deal.
I use mine for an Action Reply (basically a Game Shark) and it lets me play North American games on my Japanese console.
I think Lower Decks would be difficult to not get a 100%. 4 of 8 starring cast members are women.
The article linked shows voyager pretty high, but DS9 surprisingly low for how many women are part of the show.
I’d be curious to see how the newer shows stack up. I’d bet they’d do a bit better, but it’s hard to know. For example, Discovery has Burnham and Tilly, and they even share quarters so they are likely to talk a lot, but it is still a pretty male dominated cast. Lower Decks on the other hand, I’d be surprised if it didn’t get a 100% since half of the starring characters are women (Mariner, Tendi, Freeman, T’Ana).
I use PETG on a PEI sheet like OP has. It will stick so hard that it rips the PEI off of the metal plate if I don’t put some hairspray down as layer in between.
Looks like they are using it to warm the screen adhesive so they can remove the screen and repair the phone.
