It’s actually not very difficult but can be pricey depending on what you wanna mod and the tools you need to get. Plenty of YouTube videos that teach you how to do it, and I highly recommend checking some out.
Many IPS screens for the GB/A require extra sanding or removal of plastic internals so that the screen seats correctly.
Love this, I’m about to attempt my first GBA mod this weekend. Got a bone stock blue one off ebay with a broken screen so going to install a backlit LCD
