It’s a really annoying piece of software. I felt like they made the iOS home screen swap for when you had like 15 apps, but they never changed it and they went “well I guess people like it”, then the put it on mac and each year it somehow gets just a tiny bit weirder.
Resetting the settings used to alphabetize it, but now it just scrambles it. I also don’t know why they didn’t add any hotkeys for it on the keyboard (by default).
On the bright side, spotlight is and has always been quite good.
I for one really appreciate the new systems settings app. Grids are bad when they’re more than a dozen or so items, it’s much easier for me to find and remember things in a list.
Still waiting for Apple to fix the abomination of System Settings, vertical alert panes, and notifications without buttons.
And the app launcher. Moving apps in there is a nightmare.
