No, mostly it was the government funded engineers and scientists that work at SpaceX that mastered reusable rockets.

And if it wasn’t for Elon, they never would have. NASA was completely fucking demoralized and broken back then, and whether you want to admit it or not, Elon Musk rejuvenated the American space program with SpaceX. Just because you don’t like the man doesn’t mean his contributions to humanity are not real.

No one else is working on reusable rockets, there’s no one else to give the contract to. Blue Origin kind of is, but they’re focused on tourism and their rockets are so small compared to SpaceX’s that it’s like comparing a tug boat to a cargo ship.

You just have such a huge hate boner for the guy that you can’t even acknowledge the one good thing that came of him. Guess what, terrible people can sometimes do good things. And good people can do terrible things. Too many idiots these days who can’t seem to grasp such a simple concept.

Admitting that a jackass managed to do something good is making him a golden calf? Listen to your dumbass, you literally CAN NOT accept that something good may have come from the guy. Your boner is most certainly hateful.

No one else was building reusable rockets. You just don’t want to accept the truth because you don’t like him, and that’s childish. I don’t even like him either but I am intellectually honest enough to acknowledge what he did for humanity. You’d be wise to learn the humility to do the same.

He is a turd, but credit where credit’s due. He really plays a big part in this, you can just compare with any other space company right now, legacy or startup.

Let’s say he could have got his money, invested in other things and SpaceX wouldn’t exist along with all it’s achievements. And he did put his money there speciallly in the beginning when the company almost bankrupt and not only his money but the funds he managed to get.

And I’m not saying he did that all by him self-confidence either, but he has credit.

The same way we trash spez because his bad calls on reddit and also Musk on Twitter, you can also do the same for the good decisions as well

Again, not because you hate the man, and you have all the reasons to hate because he IS a piece of shit. Try to be rational on your critics.

If Elon Musk did not exist, would SpaceX still exist? You know the answer. The guy is a chud, but he has his place in history.
