  • I don’t totally disagree, but I don’t agree either. Star Trek touches on a lot of issues of today, just from a futuristic perspective. It uses aliens to talk about race, for example. It doesn’t ignore race issues because their society isn’t racist anymore. It just recontextualizes it so people of today will see it and internalize it, but they won’t be offended by it.

The thing that makes great sci-fi is using their lense to examine real topics of today. If it doesn’t do this then it can only be mediocre at best.

  • Like Margot said, it’s the spices used for pumpkin pie. There’s a relative flavor you see sometimes that’s full pumpkin pie flavor, which I prefer. It’s more well rounded. Pumpkin spice has, over the last decade probably, fully taken over fall drink flavors. It started with Starbucks lattes, spread to other cafés. Now it’s in everything. It has fully taken over the fall beer flavors I think, overtaking Oktoberfest styles.

  • You accidentally made me realize something. The keypad would probably be better on the left than right. There’s nothing to the left of most people’s keyboards, and presumably you have your keyboard positioned in the best place for your hands regardless of keyboard layout. Shift the keypad, and other buttons, to the left instead of right would make more room for the mouse.

Edit: This is apparently already a thing, labeled as “left handed” for some reason. I’m not sure what being left/right handed has to do with it though because we all type with both hands already.

  • I don’t understand the iMessage thing. How is it desirable? It functions the same except you get a different color bubble if you’re messaging from android, which makes me want to join them less not more.

When do android users get treated like second class citizens by developers? Which apps, besides Apple owned ones like iMessage?

Degoogle yourself with android. Why is running to another megacorp better? Android is the only way to somewhat get away from them, but you have to put in a little effort.

I just don’t get the Apple stuff. The only tiny benefit that I see is they might be better at securing user data from government agencies maybe. Everything else is worse for more money.
